Revenue up 32%
On Jan 27 VistaPrint reported second-quarter results for fiscal 2009 that included a 32% increase in revenue, to $139 million. The company's global footprint allowed it to bring in 42% of its revenue from non-U.S. markets.
Earnings per share came in at 42 cents, 50% higher than the consensus of 28 cents. This is the company's sixth consecutive surprise. In fact, other than meeting expectations once in 2007, the company has beaten the Street in each quarter since coverage began in 2005.
Bullish Estimates
Since the earnings announcement analysts have raised full-year estimates for both 2009 and 2010. The forecasts for 2009 are now averaging $1.13, up from 98 cents. The consensus for 2010 is now $1.32, up from $1.26.
If met these projections would yield year-over-year growth of 30% and 17% for 2009 and 2010, respectively.
The Chart
