Only 3 companies are scheduled to report earnings: Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. (CALM), OnStream Media Corporation (ONSM) and Rick's Cabaret International, Inc. (RICK). All of them will report on Monday, Dec 29.
A sign of the times, 1 brokerage analyst recently cut his fiscal fourth-quarter estimates, and fiscal 2009 earnings estimates, on RICK. The consensus earnings estimate calls for the operator of gentleman's clubs to have earned just 23 cents last quarter, 2 cents below the average forecast of a month ago.
Weekly crude inventories and initial jobless claims will be released on Wednesday, Dec 31. No other economic data is scheduled for release.
Expect volume to be below average throughout the week.
