Fund Description

The fund invests at least 80% of net assets (including borrowings) in common stocks of small-cap U.S. companies, defined at purchase by market capitalizations generally within the range of the Russell 2000 Growth Index; it may hold positions that later fall outside that range. It typically invests in common stocks, including U.S. dollar-denominated securities of foreign issuers, with up to 20% in foreign issuers. It uses a growth style seeking companies with above-average earnings growth potential, may have significant sector exposure to Health Care, Industrials and Information Technology, and may use ETFs tracking U.S. small-cap indices for cash management and exposure. It may hold cash and other high-quality reserves, use temporary defensive allocations, and lend securities to earn income.
