![]() Dear subscriber, Many of you have told us that though you really enjoy getting Profit from the Pros every day, you would prefer it to be a little bit shorter and contain fewer ads. We have listened to your feedback and today are unveiling the biggest change to this newsletter's format since it was launched nearly seven years ago. We have reduced the length of the newsletter by more than 30% without trimming out the quality commentary you expect from Zacks. We have also cut the number of ads in each issue and removed the ad placements that previously broke into the middle of articles. We dub this new format "Less Filling, but Still Tastes Great". We hope you will agree. Some of you may wonder why it is still in text format and not a fancier HTML version. Yes, we know that most other providers use HTML and yes we agree it is more attractive, but we place the largest emphasis on feedback from you, the subscriber. And in that regard, the text format continues to score higher marks. For those who prefer HTML, this newsletter is always available to you online at http://at.zacks.com/?id=4082. Please let us know what you think about our new format by emailing us at newsletters@zacks.com. Wishing you prosperity, Charles Rotblut, CFA 1. The performance of the Zacks Rank portfolios shown above for annual and year-to-date periods are the linked monthly total returns (price changes + dividends) of equal weighted hypothetical portfolios, consisting of those stocks with the indicated Zacks Rank, assuming monthly rebalancing and zero transaction costs. These are not the returns of actual portfolios. The hypothetical portfolios were created at the beginning of each month from Jan 1988 forward based on the values of the Zacks Rank available to Zacks' clients before the beginning of each month. The portfolios created monthly from 1988 through September 2006 exclude ADRS and are comprised of stocks that have the indicated Zacks Rank and were covered by at least two analysts at the time of the stocks inclusion in the portfolio. Starting in October 2006 and going forward, the portfolios are comprised of all stocks with the indicated Zacks Rank and do not exclude ADRs, which is more reflective of the list of stocks that customers will find on the Zacks web sites. 2007 returns are for the period of Jan 1 - Jun 30, 2007.
