Dear Subscribers,
On Wednesday we got the monthly release of jobs data from Challenger and ADP. Both show a slowing of job losses, but unfortunately still no signs of job gains. These reports often foreshadow what to expect with the official monthly tally from the government known as the Employment Situation report due out on Friday. Investors took the information in stride with a breakeven finish for the markets. However, at some point we need to see actual job growth to feel confident in the strength of this economic rebound. That still seems a ways off.
