Dear Subscribers,
Holy smokes! The November Employment Situation report was so much better than expected that it truly caught investors off guard.
At first, the market raged higher with all groups in positive territory. But then there was an interesting intra-day shift. Investors took some profits in groups that have benefited from a weak dollar and rotated it back to others groups that simply thrive on a healthy US economy. The strengthening dollar is why gold, oil, commodity and export driven stocks took it on the chin in the latter part of the session. Will the dollar continue to firm up? And will this shift of stock winners and losers continue? I don't know yet. But it's certainly a trend to keep your eyes on.
