Dear Subscribers,
The market sent investors a big Valentines love letter on Tuesday as the Dow made another push away from 10,000. On the fundamental side of the equation folks will point to a strong Empire State Manufacturing survey and moderating concerns in Europe. On the technical side we have enjoyed a bounce from oversold conditions. But now our upside will be tested by the 50 day SMA at around 10,400. If we get through that, then the next resistance would be at the previous closing high of 10,725. I don't expect us to break through that any time soon. Simply, this paints a picture of our likely trading range for a while…and a trading range is a lot better than the market tumbling down as it was a couple weeks ago.
