Dear Subscribers,
Friday brought mixed economic news and with that the market coasted into a breakeven finish on the day. In the plus column was a surprisingly strong February Retail Sales report. In the minus column was Consumer Sentiment which slipped modestly lower for the 2nd straight month. The market ended the week just a hair under the old S&P 500 high of 1150.20 set on January 19th. The technicians out there know that old highs are at first a level of resistance, but when you break above it becomes a new level of support from where it can rally higher. Let's hope we can make it happen this week.
