Dear Subscribers,

As we close the books on July, investors are still pretty scared. That is kind of amazing when you consider that it was the best 1 month return for stocks over the past year. This comes on the heels of a fairly good GDP report. By "good" I mean that it shows that the economy continues to expand at a modest pace. Sorry that I never believed in the V shaped recovery concept and find this +2.4% growth rate acceptable. Looking out over the next few months I think that the risks of the market going higher or lower are pretty well balanced. When that is the case, then the wise thing to do is assemble a diversified portfolio of conservative and aggressive positions to make the most of whatever comes our way.
