Tuesday's Case-Shiller Home Price Index showed another drop in the value of housing. This is not a shock to anyone who has been alive the last 3 years. Consumer Confidence continues to linger with poor readings. Again not a surprise given how much money they have lost in their homes or the poor job outlook. Yet as we have seen the market can chug ahead with those two weak indicators. Wednesday brings the Durable Goods report which is a bit more meaningful. Estimates call for a +1.6% gain. Let's hope we get that or better.
