Today's Research Daily features new research reports on 16 major stocks, including Amgen (AMGN), Cisco (CSCO) and NextEra Energy (NEE).

Buy-rated Cisco has lost ground following the mixed quarterly report, but the stock is still up more than 10% in the year-to-date period and continues to lead the broader technology space. In the updated research report issued today, the Zacks analyst covering the stock highlights Cisco’s expanding footprint in the rapidly growing security and data center market. Moreover, partnerships with the likes of Pure Storage, salesforce.com and IBM will help Cisco to gain significant traction in the data center, cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) market in the long haul. Amgen shares have struggled this year, but it has come back following the election as fears of restrictive pricing and regulatory strictures have eased. The analyst points to Amgen’s impressive quarterly results, its portfolio of blockbuster drugs, the prospect for efficiency gains from the restructuring plan and track record of returning excess cash to shareholders through dividends and buybacks. Amgen is also progressing with its pipeline given quite a few regulatory and data updates scheduled for the coming quarters. However, the company has some challenges in store given the presence of biosimilar competition and slowdown in sales of mature products. (You can read the full research report on Amgen here>>)

NextEra Energy’s shares have increased by more than 10% year-to-date but have struggled over the last quarter. NextEra Energy’s reported mixed third-quarter earnings. However, the analyst likes NextEra Energy's investment in renewable generation which should boost its performance over the long haul. Favorable economic conditions in its service territories will drive demand for utility services. Strategic acquisition and asset divestment bode well for NextEra Energy. On the flip side, NextEra Energy's nature of business is subject to complex and comprehensive federal, state and other regulations. Also, concerns related to commodity price fluctuations might deter its growth to some extent. (You can read the full research report on NextEra Energy here>>)

Other noteworthy reports we are featuring today include MasterCard (MA), AbbVie (ABBV) and eBay (EBAY).
