May 07, 2013 (MarketNewsVideo.com via COMTEX) -- This morning, Ares Capital (ARCC) declared its quarterly dividend of 38 cents per share, maintaining the amount paid to shareholders last quarter. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 8.4% going forward. Shares of ARCC were lower today, falling 0.4%.
In other dividend news, Great Plains Energy (GXP) maintained its quarterly dividend of 21.75 cents per share. And PS Business Parks (PSB) maintained its quarterly dividend of 44 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Baxter International (BAX) announced its quarterly dividend of 49 cents per share, an increase of about 9% over its prior dividend. And Trinity Industries (TRN) announced its quarterly dividend of 13 cents per share, an increase of about 18% over its prior dividend in April of 11 cents.
