May 10, 2013 (Fast Lane via COMTEX) -- Analysis was conducted on the Casinos & Gaming industry to measure relative performance to find stocks that have underperformed. Relative underperformance is a possible bearish sign of underlying fundamental and technical weakness should it continue for an extended period of time. We looked at yesterday's price action of all companies in this peer group and measured their performance against one another. Melco Crown Entertainment (NASDAQ:MPEL) ranks first with a loss of 1.13%; MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM) ranks second with a loss of 0.68%; and Penn National Gaming (NASDAQ:PENN) ranks third with a loss of 0.31%.
Boyd Gaming (NYSE:BYD) follows trading unchanged and Las Vegas Sands (NYSE:LVS) rounds out the bottom five with a gain of 0.09%.Melco Crown Entertainment. Ltd. develops, owns and operates casino gaming and entertainment resort facilities.
