May 14, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- OneOcean Corp., maker of the cloud-based ClipCard platform for managing big spatial data, announced hiring Prasad Saripalli, PhD, as Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President.
According to a release, Dr. Saripalli comes to OneOcean directly from IBM where he served as Chief Architect of the SmartCloud Enterprise Cloud Platform and Solution Leader of the team deploying cloud enterprise workloads as SaaS. Dr. Saripalli brings with him long experience in enterprise cloud and service architectures, as well as data visualization and analytics, which spans technology leaders including IBM, Microsoft, Runaware and Citrix and multiple domains including ISV software, oil and gas, biotech, hydro and global climate change.
"OneOcean is a great fit for Prasad's deep understanding of cloud services and applications. Prior to IBM, Dr. Saripalli led product development at 14-year-old cloud innovator Runaware, enabling legacy enterprise workloads as SaaS. He has also headed up virtualization technology teams at Microsoft and Citrix, and led research and development at Batelle, a R&D provider.
OneOcean's ClipCard presents a rich abstract of source data that can be viewed and shared anywhere, giving users an instant understanding of what complex data contain and the means to grant secure access when needed, the company noted.
