China Cards: Conference Calls

One of the good things about a blog is that it is a great place to store data you can access from almost anywhere in the wired world (whether it is wireful or wireless).

One of the bad things about an investment or a trade involving a company based in a country other than your own is the comparative difficulty of getting authoritative information concerning its operations.

With these good and bad things in mind, I decided to post here the details of the third-quarter conference calls (CCs) and earnings reports (ERs) scheduled by the four U.S.-listed Chinese companies that were covered in the recent Playing the China Cards series on this blog, arranged in chronological order as follows:

Simcere Pharmaceutical Group/SCR
ER: Before the Market Open, 5 November
CC Webcast: 0800 ET, 5 November, tinyurl.com/2wqrjv

American Oriental Bioengineering Inc./AOB
ER: After the Market Close, 5 November
CC Webcast: 1630 ET, 5 November, tinyurl.com/236uvy

Xinhua Finance Media/XFML
ER: After the Market Close, 13 November
CC Webcast: 1700 ET, 13 November, tinyurl.com/2c9bof

The9 Ltd./NCTY
ER: After the Market Close, 15 November
CC Webcast: 2000 ET, 15 November, tinyurl.com/ys983o

At this time, I have real-world option and/or stock positions in three of these four names, but, luckily, the Simcere Pharmaceutical Group is the lone exception. As a result, it will not be a big deal should I forget that Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend.
