BlackRock Energy & Resources A (SSGRX - MF report) seeks capital appreciation on a long term basis. The majority of its assets are invested in small cap companies related to sectors like global energy, natural resources and utilities. Usually the investment is parked in at least three countries. The fund has a three year annualized return of 2.31%.

The BlackRock mutual fund has a minimum initial investment of $1,000 and an expense ratio of 1.33% compared to a category average of 1.56%.

BlackRock Managed Volatility A (PCBAX - MF report) invests in bonds, stocks and money market instruments. Within equity, investments can be made in ETFs, mutual funds and individual stocks. BlackRock US Opportunities A (BMEAX - MF report) seeks capital growth on a long term basis. The majority of its assets are invested in domestic companies which have the potential to provide high earnings. Investments are parked in common stocks, preferred stocks and convertible securities. On certain occasions, investments may also be made in IPO (Initial Public Offering). The fund has a three year annualized return of 12.34%.
