Global advisory firm FTI Consulting, Inc. (FCN - Analyst Report) recently announced the introduction of an updated version of the Ringtail e-discovery software, which is fortified with an intuitive and visual predictive coding feature that provides users with greater confidence in results. The software was launched by the company’s FTI Technology business segment.
Combining case management and document review in a single platform, Ringtail offers a comprehensive e-discovery solution with powerful data analytics and visual review tools to improve the productivity and efficiency of legal review. In addition, the software has flexible deployment options and market-leading functionality to reduce the overall cost of e-discovery.
The predictive coding feature of Ringtail software facilitates a visual approach of a user manual to train a classifier to code large document sets quickly and defensibly. This includes an intuitive workflow, visual validation of a model's performance, and a projections matrix to examine recall and precision targets.
Other than the predictive coding functionality, Ringtail enables users to analyze data and determine trends, characteristics and the potential cost of review. In addition, it also helps to analyze large document populations faster and collate related information with ease by linking documents to issues, binders, transcripts, saved searches and other objects. The advanced version of Ringtail is likely to be made available on-demand by the end of third quarter 2013.
