Semi-conductor solutions provider QuickLogic Corporation (QUIK - Snapshot Report) recently announced that its ArcticLink III VX Customer Specific Standard Products (CSSP) was used by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. for its GALAXY Tab 3 7.0 tablet. The ArcticLink III VX device primarily provides a display interface bridging solution and extends battery life.
The display interface bridging system facilitates designers to allow component parts, each having incompatible processor and display interface standards to communicate with each other. Moreover, the ArcticLink III VX devices are supported by integrated Visual Enhancement Engine (VEE) and Display Power Optimizer (DPO).
The special VEE feature provides the GALAXY tablet users an enhanced display experience. Additionally, the DPO technology extends battery life by combining intelligent backlight modulation and visual restoration.
These features are expected to offer an enriching experience to users of the GALAXY Tab 3 7.0 tablet, which showcases a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 8/16GB of on-board memory, and the Android 'Jelly Bean' operating system.
QuickLogic’s CSSP has a huge popularity in the semi-conductor market. The increasing demand for custom and catalog CSSPs in Asia compelled the company to recently open a new support center in South Korea.
QuickLogic invents and offers customer-friendly software solutions to mobile and portable electronics Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs). CSSPs allow manufacturers to produce customized products that can be launched quickly and have a wider market presence.
QuickLogic currently carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). Other stocks worth considering in the industry include Diodes Incorporated (DIOD - Snapshot Report) and Rambus Inc. (RMBS - Snapshot Report), carrying a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy).
