Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. (HTZ - Snapshot Report) announced the expansion of Hertz UK’s national Van Supersite channels to the Newcastle region. This new facility spanning 84,500 square foot will cater to North Eastern part of England by offering Luton box automobiles, crew cabs and other personalized vehicles.

The new facility will meet all the basic rental requirements, similar to other Supersites. The rental service users can avail customer care support on commercial automobile knowledge, van maintenance and related help and skillful repair of all vans including those under warranty and those whose warranty period has expired.

In addition to providing customer services, Hertz Van also caters to fleet managers by helping them efficiently channelize usage and curtail administrative expenses. Moreover, Hertz Van Supersites provides welfare vans and offers various modifications and accessories like external covers, internal racks, tow bars, speed limiters, hand wash facilities, flood lights, cameras enabling reverse and so on.

This world’s largest general use car rental brand operates over 5000 groups of vans in the UK. This latest addition at Newcastle rents out small, medium and large vans, box vans, minibuses, single and double seater cabs and crew cabs.

This new supersite falls under the company’s long-term strategy of massive business expansion in the UK. Alongside, these supersites are specially designed for those fleet managers which operate on a big scale.

Hertz lately posted better-than-expected third-quarter 2013 results, with adjusted earnings coming in at 73 cents per share, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by a couple of cents. The upbeat performance was backed by robust sales in its four principal businesses including U.S. off-airport car rental, Donlen, worldwide equipment rental and Dollar Thrifty, giving it an incentive to expand its car rental business.

Currently however, this leading airport car rental brand in the U.S. with presence at 120 major airports in Europe holds a Zacks Rank #5 (Strongly Sell). However, other well-placed stocks in the related industry include Core-Mark Holding (CORE - Snapshot Report), SouFun Holdings Ltd. (SFUN - Snapshot Report) and Furmanite Corp. (FRM) all holding a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
