Top Non-U.S. Equity Mutual Funds

Old Mutual Clay Finlay China A (OMNAX) seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation. The Zacks#1 Rank fund invests primarily in equity securities of companies that are related with China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan. It is nondiversified.
Its top 10 holdings include China Mobile Ltd.(CHL - Analyst Report), Hengan International Group Co. Ltd. and Huabao International Holdings Ltd. The fund has allocated 65.60% in emerging market equities and 16.33% in foreign stocks.
Francoise Vappereau has been the lead manager at the fund since September 2006. As of October 31, the funds portfolio turnover was 178.32%.
Templeton China World A (TCWAX) seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in securities of "China companies".
TCWAX may invest up to 20% of its assets in debt obligations of China companies or in securities that are expected to benefit from economic development in China. This Zacks#1 Rank fund is nondiversified. China Mobile Ltd (CHL - Analyst Report), China Petroleum & Chemical (SNP - Analyst Report) and CNOOC Ltd. (CEO - Analyst Report) are among its top 10 holdings.
Dr. J. Mark Mobius has been the lead manager at the fund since September 1993. Mobius had been president at International Investment Trust Co Ltd in Taipei and a director at Vickers da Costa before joining Templeton in 1987 as managing director of its Far East division in Hong Kong.
Sextant International Fund (SSIFX) diversifies its investment among foreign countries, favoring those with mature markets. This Zacks#1 Rank fund also invests in diverse industries and companies following a value investment style to seek long-term capital growth.
Its top 10 holding include Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (POT - Analyst Report), EnCana Corp. (ECA - Analyst Report) and GlaxoSmithKline Plc. (GSK - Analyst Report). The fund invests in securities of at least three countries outside the U.S.
The fund has been managed by Nicholas Kaiser since September 1995. The fund pays dividends and capital gains at the end of November. It has an expense ratio of .72%.
