Fuqi Climbs on Higher-Than-Usual Volume
Fuqi International Inc. (FUQI - Snapshot Report) advanced 8% today on high volume of 1.7 million, compared with the daily average of 929,986.
The company reported earnings of 45 cents per share in its first quarter last month, ahead of the consensus by 11 cents, or more than 32%. Compared to earnings of 31 cents in the year-ago period, the result marked a more than 45% year-over-year improvement.
All of the 4 covering analysts raised projections in the past month, sending the full-year consensus estimate higher by 19 cents, or 13%, to $1.64 per share.
