Allot Finds a Blockbuster in MediaSwift

Allot Communications Ltd (ALLT - Analyst Report) announced the launch of Allot MediaSwift on June 23rd. The revenue-generating network and subscriber service is designed to intelligently accelerate internet content delivery (HTTP streamed video and P2P traffic) to broadband subscribers.

MediaSwift synergizes Allot's DPI and caching abilities to provide a unified intelligent media caching solution which delivers improved quality of experience (QoE). The service is offered as an internal blade or as an external solution with Allot Service Gateway. It is also offered as a solution with other Allot platforms.

MediaSwift has already been deployed a Tier 1 operator in Asia in conjunction with Allot Service Gateway and Allot NetEnforcer. Analysis of the implementation till now shows an approximate saving of 40% in backhaul and international traffic at the installed sites, as well as a significantly enhanced subscriber experience for internet video and P2P traffic.

MediaSwift enables service providers to meet this challenge with a precision tool that helps both providers and subscribers alike. It is another delivery on the Service Gateway promise to provide an integrated approach to future service needs - same platform, new services.
