Rydex Strengthening Dollar 2x Strategy A (RYSDX) seeks to provide investment results that match 200% of the performance of the U.S. Dollar Index on a daily basis. It is a non-diversified enhanced index fund.
The fund primarily invests in derivative instruments such as index swaps, futures contracts and options on securities and futures contracts. It may suit investors who have a short-term market view and seek to benefit from shifts in value of the U.S. dollar.
Unit holders have to make a minimum initial investment of $2,500 to enter this Zacks#1 Rank ("Strong Buy") fund. It distributes dividends and capital gains, if any, annually.
SunAmerica Focused Fixed Income Equity Strategy A (FFEAX) seeks growth of capital and conservation of principal through a "fund of funds" strategy.
The fund expects to allocate between 0%-5% of total assets in foreign securities underlying funds. It is non-diversified.
Steven Schoepke has been lead manager at the fund since February 2006. The fund has an expense ratio of 0.25%.
Franklin Templeton Conservative Target A (FTCIX) was incepted in December 1996. The investment seeks long-term total return, consistent with a lower level of risk.
The fund invests primarily in other Franklin Templeton mutual funds, rather than investing directly in individual securities. Its assets are distributed among the broad asset classes of equity, fixed-income and short-term (money market) investments.
The fund has topped the total returns of its benchmark index in the last 1-, 3- and 5-year periods.
