Fidelity Select Gold (FSAGX - Free Report) invests heavily in companies whose principal operations are related to gold as well as bullion or coins. A maximum of 25% of FSAGX’s assets are invested in precious metals via a wholly owned subsidiary. FSAGX focuses on acquiring common stocks of firms involved in exploration, mining, processing, or dealing in gold, or to a lesser degree, in silver and other precious metals. Deutsche Gold & Precious Metals S invests the majority of its assets in common stocks of companies involved in operations related to precious metals including gold, silver and platinum. SCGDX may also invest not more than 20% of its assets in investment-grade debt securities issued by precious metals companies.
