Yum! Brands' Pizza Hut Launches Summer Special Treat Box
Pizza Hut, a division of Kentucky-based Yum! Brands Inc. (YUM - Free Report) has introduced a summer picnic basket as a follow up of the Triple Treat Box introduced last year. The Triple Treat Box: Summer Edition includes pizzas, breadsticks and a cookie, a perfect combination for a summer picnic.
The offer is currently available, just ahead of National Picnic Day on Jun 18. Priced at $19.99, the Triple Treat Box comprises two medium one-topping pizzas, a stack of breadsticks and a HERSHEY'S Chocolate Chip Cookie. Consumers can also add the latest HERSHEY'S Toasted S'mores Cookie to their Triple Treat Box: Summer Edition for an extra amount.
The one topping pizza can be topped with any of these diverse fresh ingredients such as sweet pineapple, Peruvian cherry peppers, fresh mushrooms, fresh spinach, fresh red onions, fresh green bell peppers, sliced banana peppers, sliced jalapeño peppers, Mediterranean black olives and diced Roma tomatoes as well as pepperoni, Italian sausage, premium salami, classic meatballs, slow-roasted ham, hardwood smoked bacon, grilled chicken, beef and seasoned pork.

In the U.S. market, Pizza Hut expects to trigger growth through menu innovation. The U.S. accounts for about half of the brand’s total profits and as a result implementing these growth initiatives here makes sense. Management expects to continue to improve sales by rolling out value meals as well as premium products. Pizza Hut is also boosting in-store efficiency by replacing ovens and upgrading in-store technology.
