Read MoreHide Full Article

Leading Canadian telephone operator BCE Inc.’s (BCE - Free Report) subsidiary, Bell Canada recently launched Home Hub 3000, which is expected to be one of the most powerful home WiFi services in Canada. This service is supposedly the world's first fully wireless IPTV (Internet Protocol television) service with Wireless 4K Whole Home PVR from Fibe TV.

At present, Bell Canada leads the Canadian broadband communications market through its strategic investments and innovations in advanced networks and Fibe TV and Fibe Internet services.

Home Hub 3000

The Home Hub 3000 modem/router is the most powerful WiFi service introduced to date, presumed to deliver the fastest in-house speeds and WiFi coverage. It features 12 antennas that support a total throughput capacity of 1 Gbps and allow automatic channel switching for reduced interferences. It is also the only tri-band device, which works simultaneously with multiple devices like smartphones, laptops, tablets, and gaming consoles connected all at a time. BellCanada claims the Home Hub 3000 to be three times more effective than the Home Hub 2000. It offers a user-friendly web interface to manage WiFi access and settings. Moreover, it has a strong battery back-up that enables customers to use Fibe Internet during a power outage for almost four hours.

Further, Bell Canada is planning to invest approximately $1 billion in broadband fibre services in 2016. Such investments should help Bell Gigabit Fibe Internet services to reach out to 3 million homes and businesses in Ontario, Québec and Atlantic Canada by the end of the year.

Fibe Wireless 4K Whole Home PVR

The Fibe Wireless 4K Whole Home PVR offers high definition (HD) 4K quality, 150 hours of 4K recording capacity and Bluetooth remote access that enables out-of-sight positioning of the PVR. In addition, it will also provide integrated access to Netflix Inc. (NFLX - Free Report) in 4K.

Fibe TV is Canada's fastest growing TV service. It comes with some additional features such as Restart, which allows one to restart and watch TV shows up to 30 hours after they started; Trending, which helps in identifying the popular Canadian shows; and the Fibe TV app, which brings the Fibe experience to smartphones and tablets. It offers access to more than 450 live and on-demand channels and full control of TV through mobile devices including the Apple Watch.
