Yingli Green (YGE) Introduces 3 PV Module Series in U.S.

Read MoreHide Full Article

Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. Ltd. or Yingli Solar, has launched three photovoltaic (PV) module series − the Yingli Smart Module Series, TwinMAX 60 Cell and YLM Series − in the U.S. The new modules will be unveiled at Solar Power International, the largest solar trade show in North America, during Sep 12 to 15.

The Yingli Smart Module Series, powered by SolarEdge Technologies, Inc.’s (SEDG - Free Report) integrated module-level power optimizers, enhances energy yield at the module level and allows a more flexible system design. These are best suited for residential and commercial market segments.

Yingli's TwinMAX 60 Cell has replaced the conventional back sheet and glass structure with its frameless feature, which consists of two layers of 2.5 mm thick, semi-tempered glass. The back side utilizes reflected ambient light, thereby enabling the modules to yield up to 30% more power, depending on the albedo. The TwinMAX modules boast a 30-year linear warranty, offering over 20% power gain for customers in comparison to the industry standard 25-year linear warranty.

The YLM Series are built with the finest P-type monocrystalline cells, which provide high conversion efficiency and high-transmission glass with an exclusive anti-reflective coating that direct more light to the solar cells. As expected, this results in a higher energy yield. These modules are offered in 60-cell and 72-cell series. Availability of the two variants increases its flexibility for a broad range of purposes ranging from residential and commercial projects to large-scale power plants.

Yingli Green Energy is a leading vertically integrated manufacturer of PV products based in China. The company manufactures the entire PV value chain, including ingot casting and wafering, solar cell production and solar panel assembly.

Currently, Yingli Green Energy has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
