Logitech Continues Product Launch Drive with 3 New Mice

In a bid to further diversify its innovative mouse portfolio, leading computer peripherals company, Logitech International SA (LOGI - Free Report) , introduced two products at the IFA 2016, a consumer electronics show in Europe. The company revealed pioneering the development of two silent mice, Logitech M330 Silent Plus and the Logitech M220 Silent Wireless Mice. It has also launched versatile Logitech M720 Triathlon Multi-Device Mouse, engineered particularly for people working in a multi-device world.

New Product Features

The precision and durability of both the mice are similar to Logitech's other offerings. However, the company has eliminated the noise associated with the “click” in other devices. Logitech M330 Silent Plus comes with a price tag of $29.99, whereas the M220 Silent Mouse is available for $24.99. While Logitech M330 Silent Plus is likely to be available from September, M220 Silent Mouse will hit select retail stores by October alongside being available on Logitech’s website Logitech.com.

These mice are designed to operate on any surface and provide the “click” feeling to clients, reducing noise by 90%. It has earned them the “Quiet Mark seal” approval from the Noise Abatement Society. Additionally, they come with the wireless connection feature that enables them to work even from a distance of up to 33 feet. These mice can be used on a wide range of operating systems including Windows, Mac, Chrome OS and Linux. Other features include comfortable grips, portable design and a long battery life.

The other product – Logitech M720 Triathlon Multi-Device Mouse – is designed for use by people who need to navigate between multiple operating systems and screens. Powered by the Easy-Switch technology, the M720 Triathlon can be linked with three devices, allowing users to switch between them effortlessly. Logitech’s other technologies including Logitech Unifying Receiver, Bluetooth Smart wireless technology and Logitech Options software have also been added to the new mouse to enhance customer experience.

We believe that Logitech intends to tap the high demand for accessories by pursuing innovation and expanding its product lines. The company has manufactured advanced offerings like the fastest performing mouse and keyboard switches, wireless mouse with longest battery among others. Consequently, recent additions to its product portfolio have contributed toward the company’s revenue growth in the quarter.

Going forward, Logitech is planning a range of product launches in the coming quarters, which is likely to fortify its foothold in the market. Growing adoption of new mobile platforms in both mature and emerging markets are fueling demand for Logitech’s peripherals and accessories.
