DICK'S Sporting Goods Inc. (DKS - Free Report) is firing on all cylinders with regard to store expansion and enhancement of store productivity for continued improvement. In this regard, the company announced plans to inaugurate three new stores – one each in Virginia, Washington and New York. While the new Virginia store will be located at 5th Street Station in Charlottesville (120 Wegmans Way), the Washington outlet will come up in Kitsap Mall in Silverdale (10315 Silverdale Way NW). Finally, the DICK'S Sporting Goods and Field & Stream store in New York will be housed at Melville Mall in Melville (870 Walt Whitman Road).
The new Washington store will offer over 40 in-store services provided by DICK'S certified PROS in sports and outdoor specialties like golf, bike and fishing. Additionally, this location will house Under Armour Inc. (UA - Free Report) and Nike Inc. (NKE - Free Report) shops. This outlet will also accommodate athletic clothing and footwear, along with the latest equipment for team sports, fitness, camping, hunting and fishing.
In order to attract customers to its Washington store during the celebration period, DICK’S Sporting has announced a range of lucrative giveaways. The company will distribute free Adidas AG (ADDYY - Free Report) Go-To Performance T-Shirts to the first 100 people in queue on the opening day. The early birds (only adults) will also get an opportunity to open the DICK'S Sporting Goods Gift Locker on all three days of celebrations.
