Iconic fast food joint McDonald’s Corp. (MCD - Free Report) announced that they will begin testing Happy Meals for breakfast, a seamless addition to the company’s rollout of all-day breakfast last October, USA Today reported.

The testing will begin Monday, and will be available at 73 McDonald’s locations near and around the Tulsa, Oklahoma region. Company officials noted that adding breakfast Happy Meals would be the first major supplement to the kid-friendly menu item in over 30 years.

“All day breakfast has really been a big hit with our customers, and that started from our customers telling us this is what they wanted,’’ says Pam Williams, a director of innovation at McDonald’s USA. “Since the launch of all day breakfast, more of our customers have been reaching out to us and asking us for these choices for their kids in the Happy Meals.’’

Customers who are lucky enough to order these new Happy Meals can choose from either two McGriddles or a new Egg & Cheese McMuffin, sans Canadian bacon. Kids can pick apple slices or yogurt as their sides, and at lunch and dinner, fries are available. Hash browns will also be an option at select restaurant locations.

According to Eater, this week also saw McDonald’s expanding their all-day breakfast options, with McGriddles now being a part of the menu nationwide.
