Read MoreHide Full Article

United Continental Holdings (UAL - Free Report) recently announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, United Airlines, had opened a new club at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The latest “United Club” is part of the company’s $573 million project to revamp its customer-facing spaces in Terminal 7 and Concourse 8 at the airport.

Club Details

The club, which covers 20, 000 square feet, is one of the best clubs on offer by the airline. It is also the largest of its kind. Features of the club include gourmet kitchen and bar, which are well equipped to serve a wide variety of food and beverages. The club also offers seating areas for comfortable working and lounging along with brilliant views of the airport, the Hollywood Hills and the Los Angles skyline. It also has a spacious and scenic outdoor terrace. The airline aims to provide the best hospitality and services to visitors to ensure that they have a delightful and hassle-free stay.

The LAX airport is one of the company’s premier hubs in the West Coat with several international and domestic flights scheduled on a daily basis. The company has opened new economy lobby and baggage claim areas in the past few months. It has also installed a new security checkpoint in cooperation with the Transportation Safety Administration. This checkpoint comes with five state-of-the-art automated screening lanes aimed at modernizing airport security.

We are positive on the company’s efforts to improve its customer service in light of increasing competition from the likes of JetBlue Airways (JBLU - Free Report) , Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL - Free Report) and Southwest Airlines Co. (LUV - Free Report) .
