On Tuesday, Twitter Inc. announced that it will be collaborating with media giant Walt Disney Co. (DIS - Free Report) and Time Inc. (TIME - Free Report) subsidiary People magazine to live stream an exclusive event centered on the upcoming film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Hosted by People’s Deputy Editor JD Heyman, the special event will include never-before-seen footage from the movie, as well as a Q&A with director Gareth Edwards and cast members Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, and Riz Ahmed.

"People come to Twitter to see what's happening in the entertainment world, and the conversation about movies, especially Star Wars, is constant on Twitter," said Anthony Noto, COO at Twitter. "Our collaboration with Disney and People will give fans fresh and exciting live Star Wars content that they can view and Tweet about all on the same platform."

"People is thrilled to participate in the celebration of the latest release in the iconic Star Wars franchise," says Jess Cagle, Editor in Chief, People. "We have been covering Star Wars since the very first film hit theaters in 1977; our audience can't get enough of it."

If you want to submit questions for the event, just tweet your questions with the hashtag #AskRogueOne. And, if you use the hashtags #RogueOne, #DeathStar, #StarWars, and #StarWarsRogueOne, a Star Wars Twitter emoji will automatically appear.

The live stream will begin this Friday, December 2, at 10 AM PT, at a surprise location. Viewers can catch the event at RogueOne.twitter.com, in Twitter Moments, and at the @StarWars and @people Twitter handles. Rogue One is the first standalone film in the Star Wars franchise. Tickets went on sale on Monday, and the film hits theaters on December 16.
