Delphi Automotive’s adjusted earnings increased 32% year over year to $1.83 per share in the fourth quarter of 2016, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.60.

Revenues

Delphi Automotive reported revenues of $4.3 billion, up 11% year over year. Revenues surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $4.15 billion. The year-over-year increase was due to the acquisition of HellermannTyton and volume growth in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Key Stats/Developments to Note

In 2016, Delphi Automotive repurchased 9.48 million shares for approximately $635 million. Following this, the company had $1.37 billion available for repurchases under its current share buyback program.

For 2017, Delphi Automotive revealed its revenue guidance of $16.5–$16.9 billion. Adjusted earnings per share are expected in the range of $6.40–$6.70.
