Read MoreHide Full Article

Earnings season is picking up steam fast as over 1,000 companies are expected to report earnings this week.

Who has time to look through them all to see which have the best track records?

Tracey went through them so you don’t have to and picked out only the best.

It’s not easy to beat the consensus every quarter for years. None of these 5 companies has been able to do it, but they’re gotten close, with just a few misses during that time.

Perfect records are rare. There are only a few dozen companies who are doing that quarter after quarter. But even just one miss is unusual.

These are some of the top earnings charts to finish this busy earnings week. Can they keep it up this quarter?

5 Stocks with the Hottest Earnings Charts

1.    Starbucks (SBUX - Free Report) has missed just twice in the last 5 years but shares have stalled. This is the first earnings report under the new CEO. Will it make a difference?

2.    Eastman Chemicals (EMN - Free Report) has missed just once in the last 5 years but shares have been stuck. But the chemical industry is usually the first to see a pick-up as the global economy heats up.

3.    Columbia Sportswear (COLM - Free Report) is in the dreaded retail sector but it has only missed once in the last 5 years. Are consumers still shopping for outdoor gear and clothes?

4.    Colgate Palmolive (CL - Free Report) has missed only once in five years. Shares have rallied in 2017 but can they break out to new highs?

5.    Royal Caribbean (RCL - Free Report) has missed three times in 5 years but with animal spirits and optimism running high, so is travel. Watch for info on booking rates for 2018 trips.
