DDR Has Macy's in Tenant Lineup

Developers Diversified Realty Corporation (DDR - Analyst Report), a real estate investment trust (REIT), has recently added Macy’s Inc. (M - Snapshot Report), a premier departmental store operator, in its tenant lineup in the open-air shopping center spanning approximately 1 million square feet in Nampa, Idaho.

Macy’s will open a 120,000 square feet store in the shopping center, featuring a full range of apparel and accessories for men, women, and children. The store would also include merchandise for the home.

Besides Macy’s, J. C. Penny Company Inc. (JCP - Analyst Report) – a leading departmental store, Sports Authority – one of the country's largest sporting goods retailers, and Idaho Athletic Club – a physical fitness facility provider, had already opened their retail outlets at the center. The shopping center has been designed with an abundance of natural stone and timber, and includes several consumer amenities.

Headquartered in Beachwood, Ohio, Developers Diversified acquires, owns, develops, leases, and manages shopping centers and business centers across 45 states in the U.S., along with Puerto Rico, Brazil, Russia, and Canada. By the end of the second quarter of 2009, Developers Diversified owned and managed 690 retail operating (including joint ventures) and development properties spanning approximately 153 million square feet.
