Healthcare Trust Adds Duke Realty's Healthcare Platform

Healthcare Trust of America, Inc. announced that it has completed the addition of Indianapolis, IN-based Duke Realty Corporation’s Healthcare development and construction platform. This development team boasts working relationships with established healthcare players and will be renamed as HTA-Development. This addition is likely to aid Healthcare Trust of America to efficiently provide real estate solutions to healthcare providers for the benefits of the tenants and the shareholders.

Scottsdale, AZ-based Healthcare Trust of America primarily focuses on medical office buildings, healthcare-related facilities and quality commercial office properties. The company has also appointed hugely experienced Keith Konkoli to the newly created position of Executive Vice President – Development. Konkoli will look after the HTA -Development's national development and construction activities. He will also lead a team of 15 experienced development and construction professionals who will join Healthcare Trust of America HTA from Duke Realty.

Shares of Healthcare Trust of America has underperformed the Zacks categorized REIT and Equity Trust – Other industry in the last three months. While the stock gained 6.5%, the industry grew 6.8%.



Currently, Healthcare Trust of America carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
