However, a few days prior to the official start, numerous press conferences were lined up starting with Electronic Arts’ (EA - Free Report) press conference on Jun 10, 2017.

It will be the first time in Expo’s 24-year history that the general public will be allowed to attend the fair. Reportedly, over 15K tickets were sold.

Highlights from the Press Conferences

Electronic Arts: Like last year, EA does not have a presence at the E3 but it did organize a press conference wherein it showcased the gameplay trailers of FIFA 18 as well as the highly anticipated Star Wars Battlefront II (multiplayer game, out this holiday season). Moreover, the company gave a sneak peek into its latest IP, Anthem, developed by BioWare. Per media reports, BioWare described Anthem as a sci-fi game that will help “explore a landscape of primeval beauty, confront the dangers you find, and grow in power with every step".

For the first time, Madden 18 will have a playable story mode wherein a player can play as a young aspirant trying to make it into NFL. There was also a Need for Speed Payback trailer as along with unveiling of a DLC for Battlefield 1. Currently, Electronic Arts carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).

Apart from this, the other improved features include 1TB of storage, 12 GB of GDRR5 RAM and eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz CPU.

The company also reportedly announced quite a few games for Xbox One X, which includes Forza Motorsport 7 as well as Assassin’s Creed Origins (set in Ancient Egypt) and Sea of Thieves.
