CBE Acquires Pauluhn Electric

Cooper Industries plc (CBE - Analyst Report) recently announced the acquisition of Texas-based Pauluhn Electric from Federal Signal Corp. (FSS - Snapshot Report). Pauluhn Electric is a leading provider of specialized marine, offshore and industrial lighting and connecting product solutions for harsh and hazardous locations and corrosive environments. The acquisition of Pauluhn Electric complements its global-leading Cooper Crouse-Hinds’ harsh and hazardous product offering and enables it to continue to provide its customers with increasingly comprehensive, highly-specified solutions that enhance safety and productivity in demanding environments around the world.

Cooper Industries is a global manufacturer with 2008 revenues of $6.5 billion, approximately 88% of which are from electrical products. The company has eight operating divisions with leading market share positions and world-class products and brands including: Bussmann electrical and electronic fuses; Crouse-Hinds and CEAG explosion-proof electrical equipment; Halo and Metalux lighting fixtures; and Kyle and McGraw-Edison power systems products.
