Dr Pepper (DPS) Misses Q3 Earnings & Revenue Estimates

Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. manufactures and distributes some of the most popular carbonated soft drinks and non carbonated beverage brands in the United States. It holds a leading position in the flavored non-cola CSD market in the United States. Dr Pepper soft drink, its most popular CSD brand, also holds a leading position in the flavored CSD market in the United States.

Investors should however note that the earnings estimate revisions for DPS has moved down in the last seven days. DPS has a decent earnings history as the stock has posted positive surprises in two of the last four quarters with an average surprise of 1.6%.

Earnings: DPS missed on earnings. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings called for EPS of $1.15, and the company reported core EPS of $1.10 instead.

Revenues: DPS reported revenues of $1.74 billion. This missed the consensus estimate of $1.77 billion.

Key Stats to Note: Sales volume was up 1% in the quarter, including the Bai acquisition.
