The biggest tech show of the year, Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018, concluded last Friday. Although the focus remained on robotic, artificial intelligence and self-driving technologies, tech companies did not leave any stone unturned to please gaming enthusiasts as well. In fact, this time a number of companies displayed some extravagant products which are set to change the gaming experience entirely this year.

Therefore, if you are a game lover, then be prepared for these gaming-related electronic products which will hit the floors very soon. The products include large displays, consoles and some cool PC gaming gears.

Though plenty of product launches were announced during the event but here we would like to bring to your notice only the most notable ones.

Play it “Big” on these Giant Screens

This year game lovers will be able to play on big screens as various tech companies unveiled giant displays during the CES event. The first such display to catch our eyes was NVIDIA Corporation’s (NVDA - Free Report) “big format gaming displays, or BFGDs” which has been made in collaboration with HP Inc. (HPQ - Free Report) , Asus and Acer.

According to the company, BFGDs put together “a high-end 65-inch, 4K 120Hz HDR display with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology together with NVIDIA SHIELD, the world’s most advanced streaming device.” NVIDIA noted that combination of these technologies will give users a "buttery-smooth gaming experience" as well as enable them to stream their favourite streaming applications.

Furthermore, the recent development indicates that the TV market might become more competitive with PC manufacturers like HP, ASUS and Acer setting foot in the segment.

Other products in the large display category which grabbed our attention are Samsung’s 146-inch “The Wall” and LG’s 65-inch “Rollable OLED” TVs. While Samsung did not reveal much about its product, LG’s TV can be rolled down with your command and limit the size of the screen as per your choice.

Own These Cool Consoles

In the meantime, tech giants including Microsoft (MSFT - Free Report) , Nintendo (NTDOY - Free Report) and Sony (SNY - Free Report) stayed away from the limelight, on the gaming console front, giving way for the smaller firms to display the latest hardware.

Of those, Retro-bit’s Super Retro Trio Plus, which plays original NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis cartridges, was the cynosure of all eyes. But its key feature is the addition of HDMI port and 720p resolution that makes it suitable to play old games on new television sets. Apart from this, Retro-bit also introduced a portable gaming console — GoRetro Portable — which, according to the company, will have more than 350 preloaded games.

Another video game peripheral maker, Hyperkin, rolled out a portable gaming console, Ultra Game Boy, and a specialized Android game controller — SmartBoy — at the grand tech show. The company also launched SupaBoy SFC — a device through which one can play old games.

Go on a Roller Coaster Ride With These PC Gaming Gears

In the gaming gears segment, the star attraction was ASUS’s “Bezel-free kit” that can help game lovers to link multiple monitors together. Created by ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG), this is simply an optical device which creates illusion around monitors and even hides the seam where each bezel meets. Above all, the device has no software as well as no power bar to plug in. Isn’t it a cool device which can enlarge screens?

The next is HTC’s Vive Pro headset and a wireless adapter. This advanced Vive Pro headset comes with a higher resolution of 1,440 x 1,600, two front-facing cameras in comparison with the single one in its older version, and includes built-in headphones as well.
