ADTRAN Unveils New Cloud-Managed Whole Home Wi-Fi Solution

ADTRAN, Inc. (ADTN - Free Report) has announced the launch of its new cloud-managed whole home mesh Wi-Fi solution, which is aimed at providing a ubiquitous coverage, automated Wi-Fi performance enhancements and improved security.

The new solution is part of the comprehensive Mosaic Subscriber Experience Suite. Together these create a market-leading, user-driven service model, which enables a simple, intuitive broadband experience, better in-home network visibility and performance optimization.

Therefore, solving residential Wi-Fi issues has become a priority for service providers selling higher bandwidth subscriptions. Customers expect their Wi-Fi to work well everywhere. Thus, deployment of whole-home mesh networking with dynamic steering is a perfect way to ensure a seamless Wi-Fi experience.

The company has brought its proven enterprise-class technology to resolve new challenges in the home around coverage, interference and capacity. With the improved offering, customers will witness a fair improvement in Wi-Fi performance. The ADTRAN SDX 810-RG and 810-AP enhances its market leading SD-Access portfolio, enabling Enterprise-Class Wi-Fi functionality in homes. This apart, ADTRAN’s ProCloud Wi-Fi service, which has been developed on the company’s virtual Wireless LAN, is opening up new opportunities as Valley Business Solutions is utilizing its technology on a much wider scale. The company has also registered significant growth in its professional service activities that deploy the Total Access System components in telecommunication companies.

However, over the past three months, ADTRAN’s shares have underperformed the industry with an average loss of 6.7% against growth of 3.3% for the latter.
