Callidus Software Inc. (CALD - Snapshot Report) announced that Philips Healthcare selected Callidus Monaco's Objective Management solution to develop and manage its salesforce. The agreement was signed in the fourth quarter of 2009. Under the agreement, Philips Healthcare will use this application to deploy and manage strategic sales objectives for its sales representatives in the United States.

Companies use objective management to broaden sales incentive plans for stronger alignment of corporate objectives with sales behavior.

Objective Management solution allows organizations to design and deploy pay-for-performance initiatives to every employee for achieving better performance.

This also provides stakeholders an insight into key business processes and helps them understand the alignment of objectives across departments and teams. Objective Management enables them to focus better on the execution and impact of corporate objectives.

Callidus earlier announced a partnership with Seven Seas Technologies, a leading provider of integrated business and technology solutions.

Under the agreement, Seven Seas Technologies will resell, implement and support Callidus Software's sales performance management solutions in Africa.

Callidus expects to expand its global presence in some of the under-penetrated regions of Africa by partnering with Seven Seas Technologies as African companies seek new and faster ways of acquiring real-time and accurate information.

Based in California, Callidus Software Inc. provides sales performance management (SPM) software and services in the United States and internationally. Its SPM systems are used to monitor and analyze sales performance and incentive compensation management programs. The company believes it is better positioned to capitalize on SPM market opportunities.
