MB Financial (MBFI) Soars: Stock Adds 12.9% in Session

MB Financial, Inc. was a big mover last session, as the company saw its shares rise almost 13% on the day. The move came on solid volume too with far more shares changing hands than in a normal session. The stock picked up sharply from the near-flat trend of $42.23 to $44.10 in the past one month time frame.

The stock was driven after the company received a takeover bid from Fifth Third Bancorp.

The company has seen a mixed track record when it comes to estimate revisions of two increases and three decreases over the past month, while the Zacks Consensus Estimate has remained unchanged. The recent price action is encouraging though, so make sure to keep a close watch on this firm in the near future.

MB Financial currently has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), while its Earnings ESP is negative.
