Motorola Solutions (MSI - Free Report) reinforced its tie-up with Springfield, MA police by offering its command centre software to the recently launched Real-Time Analysis Center of the Springfield City. This software will enable first responding officers to act promptly, limit criminal activities and manage time effectively, courtesy of enhanced communication solutions.

Motorola Continues Public Safety Efforts

As the leading provider of mission-critical communication products and services for government and commercial customers alike, Motorola has been rendering its services to Springfield City police and optimizing their operations for four years now. The company’s CommandCentral Aware software has helped Springfield achieve a 40% drop in the crime rate.

With this software assistance, experts can track video footage, voice and other critical data simultaneously. It uses advanced analytics, accumulating computer aided dispatch (CAD) system generated real-time information, emergency alerts and information from other data sources to lend support to the first responders within seconds. This also helps crime analysts confirm the exact location of the responding officers and facilitate transmission of critical data like camera footage, past criminal activity and other such significant statistics.

Clubbed with the services of other solution providers like BriefCam, the software bolsters the efficiency of crime researchers, enabling them to take quicker and smarter decisions in reaction to a criminal activity.

In an effort to further expand its public safety measures, the company launched new broadband service, high power mobile radio and mobile app solutions, dedicated to public security in March 2018. All these endeavors have not only helped check crime rates and optimize public service operations but have also driven the company’s growth and its consistent impressive performance.

Price Performance

The company has continuously outperformed the industry on the back of its growth-by-acquisition strategy. The stock has returned 3.8% against the industry’s 3.6% decline in the past three months.
