One of the most respected investment managers in the world, JPMorgan has more than $1.2 trillion worth of assets under management. Widely known as a leading financial management firm, it is also the fourth-largest mutual fund firm in the U.S. and manages well over 100 mutual funds, as well as separately managed accounts and retirement products. It also prides itself on being the leading provider of market neutral funds in the domestic market. JP Morgan has also pioneered the introduction of innovative, inflation-protected municipal products.

JPMorgan Intrepid Mid Cap A (PECAX) seeks long term capital growth by investing primarily in securities of mid-cap companies. These instruments include stocks, rights, warrants and convertible securities. The fund seeks out both growth and value –oriented firms. The fund returned 39.51% over the last one year period.

The JPMorgan fund has a minimum initial investment of $1,000 and an expense ratio of 1.24% compared to a category average of 1.38%.

JPMorgan Emerging Markets Debt (JEMDX) invests the majority of its assets in debt securities issued in emerging markets. These securities may be dollar-denominated or may be issued in foreign currencies. The fund is non-diversified and may also purchase securities rated below investment grade. It has a ten year annualized return of 10.52%.

As of December 2009, this fund held 101 issues, with 11.07% of its total assets invested in Russian Federation 7.5%.

JPMorgan Small Cap Equity A (VSEAX) seeks long-term capital appreciation. It invests at least 80% of its assets in small-cap companies located in the U.S., mainly in common stocks. It looks for companies which have consistently returned strong earnings and whose stocks are trading at attractive prices. The fund has returned 37.92% in 2009 and has a five year annualized return of 5.56%.

Glenn Gawronski is the fund manager and he has managed this JPMorgan fund since 2004.

JPMorgan US Real Estate A (STIAX) invests the majority of its assets in domestic real estate companies whose stocks are publicly traded. It may also invest up to 20% of its assets in fixed income securities, including government securities and also in cash equivalents. It is non-diversified and has a ten year annualized return of 9.37%

The fund has an expense ratio of 1.19% compared to a category average of 1.47%.

JPMorgan International Equity (VSIEX) seeks income as well as long-term capital appreciation by investing in foreign companies of different sizes, including overseas subsidiaries of U.S. companies. Up to 20% of its assets are also used to purchase debt securities denominated in foreign currencies. The fund returned 39.51% over the last one year period.

James Fisher is the fund manager and he has managed this JPMorgan fund since 1999.
