Read MoreHide Full Article

Amazon (AMZN - Free Report) is firing on all cylinders to bolster its Prime membership on the back of user-friendly offers and deals.

The e-commerce giant has come up with an interesting and exciting offer for the Prime members this holiday season. The Prime members will be given the privilege of watching the eagerly-awaited DC superhero movie Aquaman a week earlier than its official release. The movie will be screened across 1000 theaters in the United States. Notably, Aquaman is Warner Bros. movie.

The company is allowing each Prime member to purchase 10 tickets at most and enjoy the movie on Dec 15, 2018 at 7 PM in the theaters.

Benefits From the Intiative

This move of Amazon seems to be the continuation of its last year’s strategy of providing opportunity to its Prime members to watch a movie before its official release. The company enabled Prime members to watch Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle two weeks before its official release.

We believe the latest initiative is likely to attract many people to join Prime, thanks to the vast fan following of DC comics, huge viewer base of superhero movies and massive craze for the character, Aquaman.

Consequently, this along with other existing Prime shopping deals, benefits and savings are expected to drive the adoption rate of Prime program, which in turn will aid the company’s top-line during this holiday season.

Coming to the price performance, shares of Amazon have returned 29.3% on a year-to-date basis against the industry’s loss of 3.6%.

Strengthening Holiday Strategies

The company’s recent move bodes well for its growing initiatives to gain momentum during this holiday season.

Apart from the movie strategy, the company is offering deep discounts on items across toys, electronics, fashion, beauty, kitchen, home furnishings, smart home, gaming, automobile, sports and pet products segments for this Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Further, there are great deals on Amazon Devices, Audible audio books, Kindle e-books and Amazon Music.

Additionally, the company has enhanced its product portfolio with gift items, especially unique handmade items from local artisans via Amazon Handmade.

Moreover, the shoppers at Whole Foods will be able to save loads on grocery items. Moreover, Amazon is offering huge discount on turkeys. Further, Prime members are getting extra discount on turkey deals.

Furthermore, the company’s expanding fast delivery services is likely to deliver better shopping experience to its customers. Recently, the company has received its 20th B767-300 converted freighter from the Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings . This has strengthened Amazon’s domestic air network as well as it will aid it in catering to the massive customer demand during the holiday time.

Notably, all these endeavors are expected to aid the company’s performance this season.

Will You Make a Fortune on the Shift to Electric Cars?

Here's another stock idea to consider. Much like petroleum 150 years ago, lithium power may soon shake the world, creating millionaires and reshaping geo-politics. Soon electric vehicles (EVs) may be cheaper than gas guzzlers. Some are already reaching 265 miles on a single charge.

With battery prices plummeting and charging stations set to multiply, one company stands out as the #1 stock to buy according to Zacks research.

It's not the one you think.
