Take Two’s (TTWO - Free Report) publisher 2K along with Firaxis Games announced that Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Gathering Storm will be available from Feb 14, 2019 on Windows PC.

Players’ strategy in interacting with the forces of nature is of predominant importance in this Civilization VI expansion pack. Environmental changes ranging from volcanoes, storms, flood and drought needs to be taken into consideration, before deciding on a place to settle. Notably, the cities initially run on coal and oil.

To boost user interest in the game, renewable sources of energy are unlocked as the player progresses. Moreover, players need to wisely choose the resources as it makes a direct and indelible impact on the planet. Additionally, to overcome global adversities, players witness developments in their lands in the form of canals, dams, tunnels and railroads.

The game also boasts a World Congress, which can be called in case of an emergency. Moreover, players can form alliances, earn favors and vote on resolutions.

Robust Portfolio to Drive Growth in the Holiday Season

Take Two’s expanding game portfolio is expected to drive the top line in the near term.

Notably, the company released the highly-anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2, ahead of the holiday season, and sold a record $725 million in retail within the first three days of its release.

Moreover, Borderlands 2 VR is an important addition to Take-Two’s gaming portfolio. The popularity of the franchise is evident from the fact that the company has sold 16 million units of the game worldwide to date.

The company also partnered with HB Studios to publish The Golf Club 2019, which features PGA TOUR. This provides Take-Two a competitive edge over Electronic Arts (EA - Free Report) , which was earlier the sole provider of PGA TOUR.

Competition Intensifies

Take Two is expected to face significant competition. Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is expected to give tough competition to Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of attracting holiday buyers.

Moreover, EA’s Anthem set to release on Feb 22, which has won over 90 awards including the best PC game and best action game awards at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018, is expected to provide significant competition to Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Gathering Storm.

Will You Make a Fortune on the Shift to Electric Cars?

Here's another stock idea to consider. Much like petroleum 150 years ago, lithium power may soon shake the world, creating millionaires and reshaping geo-politics. Soon electric vehicles (EVs) may be cheaper than gas guzzlers. Some are already reaching 265 miles on a single charge.

With battery prices plummeting and charging stations set to multiply, one company stands out as the #1 stock to buy according to Zacks research.

It's not the one you think.
