DowDuPont (DWDP) Dips More Than Broader Markets: What You Should Know

DowDuPont closed at $53.02 in the latest trading session, marking a -0.58% move from the prior day. This change lagged the S&P 500's daily loss of 0.12%. Elsewhere, the Dow lost 0.33%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq added 0.08%.

Coming into today, shares of the specialty chemicals maker had lost 6.83% in the past month. In that same time, the Basic Materials sector lost 2.39%, while the S&P 500 lost 6.96%.

Investors will be hoping for strength from DWDP as it approaches its next earnings release, which is expected to be February 7, 2019. In that report, analysts expect DWDP to post earnings of $0.89 per share. This would mark year-over-year growth of 7.23%.
