• Walgreen (NYSE:WAG) posted a fiscal third quarter earnings of 53 cents a shares, 4 cents below Zacks projections. Revenues of $17.2 billion, a 6.1% increase, were above Zacks estimates of $17.1 billion
• Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) and the FTC are reportedly in talks over a possible antitrust settlement, with both requesting the suspension of trial proceedings
• Argus Research kept a "buy" rating on ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP), raising earnings estimates for the year to $7.45 from $7.30
• FBR reiterated an "outperform" rating on Peabody Energy (NYSE:BTU), with a $65 price target
• Jefferies Group (NYSE:JEF) posted fiscal second quarter earnings of 42 cents per share, 10 cents above Zacks projections, on revenues of $740.64 million
• General Motors (NYSE:GM) announced plans to market Opel under its Buick banner in this country
• Steelcase (NYSE:SCS) posted a wider-than-expected, fiscal first quarter GAAP loss of 8 cents versus Zacks expectations of 6 cent loss, on revenues of $541.8 million, which was ahead of Zacks projections of $524 million. The company said it sees fiscal second earnings at 1-5 cents per share on revenues of $560-$585 million
