With the onset of summer, Spirit Airlines, Inc. (SAVE - Free Report) has begun daily nonstop service from Charlotte, NC to Baltimore/Washington, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Newark. These year-round services will offer better connectivity across the United States, Caribbean and Latin America.

Charlotte complements the carrier’s other services to Piedmont Triad, Asheville and Raleigh-Durham in the Tar Heel State. By the end of this season, Spirit’s daily departure in the state is anticipated to be more than 15.

Apart from service to Charlotte Douglas International Airport, the carrier has extended its footprint in the West Coast area with a service to Burbank and Sacramento. These nonstop flights to and from Las Vegas will operate thrice daily.

In order to further expand in Las Vegas, the low-cost carrier will soon be adding daily nonstop flights to Nashville. By this July, Spirit is likely to have a strong presence in Las Vegas compared with what it was two years back.

Additionally, the carrier has partnered with McCarran International Airport to debut the first automated self-service bag drop system. The system offers smoother customer experience by allowing travelers to speed up their check-in process.
